Last Experience

So the time has come for me to give up on this blog. I've missed far too much for me to try to catch up. The most recent blog before this one is one I found while looking at posts. I meant to come back to elaborate on it but...FAIL obviously...eh heh...

Anyway, I'm going to start a new blog that I can hopefully be more consistent with seeing as how I now have ample hours of free time and nothing to do. it will be at www.madiness.blogspot.com! Check it out!!! Hahaha I'll start it out by going over my summer and what I'm currently up to...which actually isn't much. BUT! I was also thinking of putting some movie and book reviews on there so if any of you are curious about either of those (mostly movies, my book preference seems to be limited according to some coughDADcough), just ask and I'll put a post up giving my opinion and a few others that I happen to find along the way :) (Secretly I'm just trying to find things to do because I'm going crazy not being at school)

Beyond that, there's nothing much more to say so all I will say is check out the new blog AND STAY ON MY CASE ABOUT THIS ONE!!! Hahaha A lot of it will come from you so help me out :)

Finally Finished as a Freshman

Oh...my...heavens...I'M DONE!!! I made it through my freshman year of college!!! My last final is tomorrow and I'm coming home as soon as I'm done! Thanks to one of my best buddies, Tony, I can come home quickly while Mom and Dad get ready for the Tholen's arrival! Sorry about the whole, not writing thing. I warned you all in the very beginning that I was bad at this game! I also told you to get on me, but it's been almost 3 months! Oh well! Hahaha This may just get to be a very long entry :P

Um...where to start... Well, nothing in particular happened in February except for the amazing Academy Awards party that Mom threw! It was so much fun to just chill out and see who won our own personal Oscar. Can I just say I LOVE Hugh Jackman!!! Also, it was my big bro's 28th birthday. Sorry I couldn't be there for Rodizio bro.

Texting Fast!

Yup! You heard me! I put myself on a TEXTING FAST! No phone being confiscated, no dare from friends, nothing! Hahaha I'm already on day 3 and the only texts on my phone are from people sending them to me!!! Hahaha I'm sure you guys are rather surprised that I've been doing this huh? :P Well I AM!!!

It actually feels really good. I've been more social and doing more things with the girls on my floor. To be detached from people like that is such a release! Tony's going crazy of course but he gets to deal MWA HAHAHA! I've told people that if they want to chat I'm on Facebook on a regular basis and if it's an emergency they can always use the phone for its original function...calling! Whoa! Imagine that hahaha but sadly...no one has called me... :(

Other things of note lately. Tony brought me up to school Sunday night after I spent the weekend at home. The weather was CRAP! Snow was falling hard and fast. The roads were slick as sin and people were being idiots. We got to Logan in about...2 1/2 hours if that as opposed to our average hour and a half. Sardine Canyon was really scary. As we were headed up we saw ploughs going down but they weren't salting the roads...they were just scraping off the top layer of snow so the bottom layers could freeze! FUN!...not. It was when we saw that that I looked at Tony and said, "There is no way in hell I'm letting you go home in this tonight."

Once we got to the dorms, I loaded him up with my down comforter and a few fleece blankets...and he car camped...I felt bad...and apparently it's cold in Logan at night in the middle of winter! But Tony's not usually one to complain (too much :P ) and I guess down is really warm hahaha! So ya...he car camped, took me to riding, slept in the car while I was in class, went to psychology with me then proceeded to take me to stable management before heading home. Tony's AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hahaha! Anyway that's about it for big news lately. I'll write more as my texting fast continues!

Almost Epic Fail

Ok so I went home this Monday to see a Marc Broussard concert at The Depot. However, it failed to mention anywhere on the website that there would be an age limit!!! I buy Tony's and my tickets, we walk in the doors, see a guy checking for id's, look down at my ticket, see 21+, turn around and walk back out the door and get my ticket refunded.

At this point, I'm almost ready to cry, but don't want to seem lame. Then I get a brilliant idea while going past Marc's tour bus (which was not an out of the way creepy thing to do by the way)! What if I bought his new album and asked him to sign it for me?! So I bounce my idea by Tony, wh
o approves and we run over to the Barnes and Noble. After anxiously opening my cd, borrowing a sharpie from B&N and figuring out the best place to ask him to sign, I get nervous...I'm about to stalk my favorite music artist to have him sign a cd that I just bought because I'm not old enough to get into his concert...ya. Can you blame me?!

Anyway! We waited out side by his bus for about 15-20 minutes before I see him emerge from the back stage door. He comes up the side of the bus and just before he enters (I hesitated to make sure it was him), I ask "Marc Broussard?" He stops. Looks in my direction...and smiles! I explain
to him my situation and politely ask him if he would be so kind as to sign my cd. He does so and in a very attractive, kind of gravely voice he says "Here you go love, sorry you couldn't see the show. Have a nice night." ...^_^ HE CALLED ME LOVE!!!!!!! I restrained myself from jumping him with a huge hug, waited for him to go into his bus and then proceded to skip away with a smile that did not leave my face for the rest of the night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hahaha, so ya that was my extatifying experience with a celebrity musician (at least he is in my eyes) :P On another note! We had a fun "family" dinner on sunday with some of the girls on my floor and my new friend Amanda (who was Savanna's friend and she introduced us at a hockey game). Savanna and Amanda treated us to chicken alfredo, homemade cinnamon rolls, Krissy and her visiting mom provided a yummy salad, and other fun random treats. It was delicious and I at least had a really fun time! I'm so happy that I've made such amazing friends with the girls on my floor and sequentially, their friends! It makes life a lot easier. So I leave you guys with happy tidings and I'll write soon!

Home(ish) Jerome

Hio Alls! It's been a little while since I've blogged huh? Well, I'm back to school and back to business! This semester is going to be great. My classes (riding, stable management, psychology, life science, band and riding team) are loads of fun and will hopefully be interesting :p It feels so good to be playing my flute again. I really missed it. I also missed my horses SO MUCH! I don't care if they're not mine, they might as well be. I probably am the only person at the stables who can name every horse besides my teachers! Hahaha!

So, I'm not going to go into detail about what happened over New Years because Zach and Shellie did such a wonderful job. I would like to direct you to their page when you're done here to get a cap off of our holiday. I did however have a VERY eventful few weeks during the break! From dates, to catching up with old friends, to having fun in the snow I had a blast!!!

I guess a few highlights wouldn't hurt. One would definitely have to be my date with John Clark. I met him through Grace, who goes to Westminster with him and they're in the same dorm building. And guess what I found out AFTER I had already stated my interest in him...HE'S IN THE BLASTED NAVY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What on Earth is it with me and guys who are either in the military or leaving on missions?! Anyway, that's kinda besides the point :P So he and I went to color me mine where we painted ceramic coin...things. They had a sun on one side and a moon on the other. I did mine in opposite colors, like a yellow moon with red highlights, orange stars and a powder blue sky. The sun was 3 shades of blue with a black sky and it had grey clouds on the bottom. It turned out really pretty and I can't wait to see it after it's been fired!

So that was my date. Another wicked fun activity I did was go up to Brian Hoole's cabin a couple times! Despite the bitter...biting cold it was lots and lots of fun and we got to go snowmobiling, sledding, movie watching, pizza eating, hot cocoa drinking, tickling, wrestling, gaming, and my personal favorite, especially when it's cold, cuddling! Hahaha. Ya, so Mike Raleigh (yes, my ex from last winter) was up there and due to forced close proximity, we started to talk and hang and be friends again!!! It's totally awesome and makes me really really happy to be on good terms with him again. He's such an awesome guy and a great friend!

OH! I also went snowboarding!!! Which was WICKED fun and I think I'm actually pretty good :) By the end of the day I had done all the green runs and a couple blues at Brighton. I went with Dan Burton and his brother (slightly awkward) but it was still loads of fun and I can't wait to go again! I also didn't spend too much time on my butt (not going to lie...I did fall a lot) but a lot of it was me getting scared of my speed so I'd make myself fall or psyche myself out. But ya, according to Dan AND his skier brother, I was doing awesome for my first time ^_^ It makes me happy!

So...guns are fun! Hahaha Ya, I went shooting with Tony and Spencer! We took Tony's .270 bolt-action rifle and his 12 gauge rifle! Mwa hahaha I actually liked the rife a lot more ;) It felt so cool to blow up cocoa nuts, ornaments, water bottles and paper ammo boxes tee hee hee...anyway. I'm about done. It feels good to be here at the dorms which have practically become my home now. I missed everyone and it's fun to see all my friends again after such a long break! But thats all for now folks :)

Christmas Time!!!

Haloo everyone! Well, its that time of year and I LOVE IT! Even though this year was a little different it was still magical and ridiculously fun :P I got to spend the holiday with my big brother Zach, his awesome wife Shellie, the dogs and our new baby Annabelle! She was so cute in her little outfit from Nana! Zach's friends invited all of us to their parents house for Christmas Eve where we went to temple square to see the nativity and lights, then returned to their home for a yummy turkey dinner and fun treats! It was kinda weird to spend the evening not with my mom and dad and the rest of the family in our own home but its ok :)

Anyway, after dinner we returned to Zach and Shellie's. We opened the Tholen's presents to us which consisted of silly Christmas books. Thanks Meggie, Tom, Daphne, Henry and Sumner ^_^ After just chillin and reading from one of the books, we decided to go watch Dark Night...sadly...I fell asleep and I don't think I was alone hahaha :p

I woke up at about 10:30 to find Shellie still asleep and Zach on the couch with Annabelle. Once we got all ready we opened our fun presents. And despite the fact that Mom and Dad are in Baltimore, I still was left satisfied with a fun, if little, pile of presents. Thank you so much Mama, I miss you and Daddy very much but I'm glad we can still have a fun Christmas apart. I got a cute vest, new tan uggs, a fun new pair of jeans, a sparkly black hoodie, a new red t-shirt, Labyrinth and a TOTALLY BAD ASS version of MACBETH!!!!!!!!! I think that and the vest were my top presents...kidding Mom! Hahaha, no. My favorite presents had to be the precious heirlooms that me and my siblings were given. Meg received the fun rubber stamp collection our mom had, Zach got Grandpa Rogers violin, and I got the rocking chair in my parents basement, Moms white triple scriptures and the nostalgic music box that was brought back from Germany by my moms parents.

I'm really happy with how this Christmas went, even with the unorthodox circumstances. Shellie made my favorite German pancakes and Z made tasty sausage. Now our quiet day has turned into Guitar Hero 3 (Shellie's present) and basketball hahaha hence the downtime giving me a chance to blog :P So I'm too lazy to thy and format a cute blog so all the pictures are going on a separate blog hahah Anyway! HAPPY CHRISTMAS everyone and have a WONDERFUL day!!!

Picture Time!

OK so I finally got some pictures for everyone :) I don't really feel like truly blogging right now (just being honest) so enjoy hahaha!

These are from the paint dance that happened a few months ago! It was wicked fun but a pain in the @$$ to get out of my hair...:P my pants look really cool now though!

Here's me and Stephanie, my "roomie" lolol she added the fun stuff to the pic. Haha this was taken while we were outside for a fire drill...ugh...people need to learn how to microwave popcorn. The other one is one of my new favoriteds. I'm with all of my Utah nieces! ^_^ yes...the dogs are my nieces...got a problem with that?!?!?!

This was obviously a pumpkin carving contest in October. I had LOTS of fun with mine even if I didn't win :P if you wanna get the reference, go to www.icanhascheezburger.com and go to the last page of images. The entire site is HILARIOUS! Fyi...best stress relief ever hahaha

Well, thats all for now folks. Thanks for checking in on my every once in a while :) If I end up slacking while I'm home for the break...HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
