Christmas Time!!!

Haloo everyone! Well, its that time of year and I LOVE IT! Even though this year was a little different it was still magical and ridiculously fun :P I got to spend the holiday with my big brother Zach, his awesome wife Shellie, the dogs and our new baby Annabelle! She was so cute in her little outfit from Nana! Zach's friends invited all of us to their parents house for Christmas Eve where we went to temple square to see the nativity and lights, then returned to their home for a yummy turkey dinner and fun treats! It was kinda weird to spend the evening not with my mom and dad and the rest of the family in our own home but its ok :)

Anyway, after dinner we returned to Zach and Shellie's. We opened the Tholen's presents to us which consisted of silly Christmas books. Thanks Meggie, Tom, Daphne, Henry and Sumner ^_^ After just chillin and reading from one of the books, we decided to go watch Dark Night...sadly...I fell asleep and I don't think I was alone hahaha :p

I woke up at about 10:30 to find Shellie still asleep and Zach on the couch with Annabelle. Once we got all ready we opened our fun presents. And despite the fact that Mom and Dad are in Baltimore, I still was left satisfied with a fun, if little, pile of presents. Thank you so much Mama, I miss you and Daddy very much but I'm glad we can still have a fun Christmas apart. I got a cute vest, new tan uggs, a fun new pair of jeans, a sparkly black hoodie, a new red t-shirt, Labyrinth and a TOTALLY BAD ASS version of MACBETH!!!!!!!!! I think that and the vest were my top presents...kidding Mom! Hahaha, no. My favorite presents had to be the precious heirlooms that me and my siblings were given. Meg received the fun rubber stamp collection our mom had, Zach got Grandpa Rogers violin, and I got the rocking chair in my parents basement, Moms white triple scriptures and the nostalgic music box that was brought back from Germany by my moms parents.

I'm really happy with how this Christmas went, even with the unorthodox circumstances. Shellie made my favorite German pancakes and Z made tasty sausage. Now our quiet day has turned into Guitar Hero 3 (Shellie's present) and basketball hahaha hence the downtime giving me a chance to blog :P So I'm too lazy to thy and format a cute blog so all the pictures are going on a separate blog hahah Anyway! HAPPY CHRISTMAS everyone and have a WONDERFUL day!!!

Picture Time!

OK so I finally got some pictures for everyone :) I don't really feel like truly blogging right now (just being honest) so enjoy hahaha!

These are from the paint dance that happened a few months ago! It was wicked fun but a pain in the @$$ to get out of my hair...:P my pants look really cool now though!

Here's me and Stephanie, my "roomie" lolol she added the fun stuff to the pic. Haha this was taken while we were outside for a fire drill...ugh...people need to learn how to microwave popcorn. The other one is one of my new favoriteds. I'm with all of my Utah nieces! ^_^ yes...the dogs are my nieces...got a problem with that?!?!?!

This was obviously a pumpkin carving contest in October. I had LOTS of fun with mine even if I didn't win :P if you wanna get the reference, go to www.icanhascheezburger.com and go to the last page of images. The entire site is HILARIOUS! Fyi...best stress relief ever hahaha

Well, thats all for now folks. Thanks for checking in on my every once in a while :) If I end up slacking while I'm home for the break...HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm Bored

Ok so I'm bored! Haha therefore I figured I might as well let you guys know a little update :)

Haha YAY! I'm going to be an aunt AGAIN tomorrow! Meggie is going to have a c-section and I couldn't be more excited! I'll keep praying and hoping that all will be well and little Sumner will be here safe and sound, though I'm sure he will be :) Ugh, so I've had to go to the stables at 7 am and 5 pm to feed for the weekend...IT IS COLD IN LOGAN IN THE MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just FYI hahahaha

This weekend has been fun! Steven came up to stay with some family friends of his and incidentally has spent some time with me ^-^ We went on a hike with his host family, which are REALLY nice people and a very happy, involved family. It was so much fun so spend time with all of them, I felt welcome from the moment I stepped in to door. OH! And the mom teaches flute so I think I may take up private lessons again ^-^ Anyway, then we went to the hockey game (we lost but the violence was all we went for anyway :P) and after we attempted to go back to the house to watch some Bleach (which is a new anime Steven introduced me to and sequentially got me addicted to! Hahaha) but got caught up in birthday pie eating (it's the youngest sons birthday today) and card games to which Steven promptly lost :P I think he felt bad but it was funny anyway lol

Today I had to get up at 7 to go feed at the stables and froze the entire time from leaving my dorms to returning. Church was meh and I came home and have been killing time since 12...sigh...I'm just waiting for everyone to get out of church so I can go feed the horses again then go with Steven to the family's house for dinner and more card games and MAYBE we can get around to Bleach Hahaha who knows :P Anyway, I'm still waiting on those pictures but they should be on here soon. Thanks for keeping tabs on me and reading my rambling blogs. Comment please, it's fun to read what you guys have to say and most any advise is welcome :P

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Ok this has been ridiculous! I was waiting for some pictures off Stephanie's camera but SCREW IT! You guys haven't had an update in far to long. I'm sorry! It's been almost another month and ya fewer things have happened but they seem to be A LOT more important! Hahaha anyway, here goes!

I'll start with Halloween...which sucked...I spent the majority of the day in a car ride with half the English team on our way to Missoula Montana for our third show, which in and of itself was really fun! Haha Dan had a freak out when we wanted to listen to Disney music though :P That was just ridiculous! And Tony came up to the show which was so awesome and sweet! Apparently he's a good luck charm too because I got a 6th, 4th and...FIRST PLACE RIBBON!!!! Hahaha awesome huh?! Now I'm only one point away from moving up a class!

Next big thing was Election Day I believe...and again I didn't get to participate because I missed the voter registration deadline. So I really could care less about who our president is and I think Obama will do a good job despite his youth and inexperience. Maybe because of that, he'll have a less politically polluted candidacy? Who knows...I certainly don't!

I visited home these last few weekends and on the 7th I died my hair dark brown! I think it looks really good and suits me well :) I feel actually a lot more confident for some reason and it seems to be healthier too. On the 14th I went on a really fun date with a boy named Steven. He works with Grace at Tokyo's Anime but he's actually a really good normal guy hahaha! He took me to Hale Center Theater's production of Into The Woods (which is hilarious and it made me kinda sad I missed Oly's production). After that he took me to Leatherby's for ice cream then a drive up a canyon past Harriman where we got out of the car and looked at the stars for about 5 minutes before getting too cold and getting back in the car! :P He took me home and walked me to the door! It was really fun and definitely one of my top 3 dates ^-^ We've hung out a couple times since then and every time has been lots of fun!!!

Ok...um...sad news time...Tony and I have broken up but all is well and we're still friends. We hang out and talk still so I consider it good :) But I guess not that much has happened since I last wrote. So I'll sign off for now and try to get those stupid pictures for you guys hahaha. Ya, I'm covered in paint :P You'll probably get to see my dark hair and Stephanie too :)

Lotsa News!

YAY! I'm an aunt again!!! Annabelle Bartholomew was born October 22, 2008 and she is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!! Tee hee hee I got to see her on Thursday with Zach and Shellie before the grandparents did ^_^ She is so pretty! It was so cool to feel the instant connection with her though...the second I saw her I thought to myself "I'm just like you". It was really neat. I'm so glad I got to see her before I had to leave. I don't have any cute pictures of her so check out Zach and Shellies blog, I've got a link just to your right :p

Most of my weekend was spent just hanging out with friends. I had lots of fun and met lots of new people. Oh, just to jump back a bit. Last Monday there was a paint dance! Haha ya it's exactly what it sounds like. It was outside and they had a DJ, a tent and obviously...PAINT! It was wicked fun to just go, get covered in paint and dance with a bunch of people that you didn't and or couldn't recognise! Hahaha My pants look way cute but I think I'm just going to trash the shirt. Stephanie took pictures so I'll have some of them up soon for you guys to see!

I also took the time to carve a pumpkin with my friends last night! It was so much fun and I bet you guys can't guess what I did ;) Hahaha I carved the triforce into my pumpkin! It looks so cool!!! I'll put some pics of that on here too along with the paint pictures!

I've got a show coming up this weekend in Missoula, MT...we have to leave on Halloween...very angry puppy...but it's another 3 English show so I really don't want to miss the opportunity to get some more points...BUT STILL!!!!!! Halloween!!! Thats my favorite holiday tied with CHRISTMAS!!!! BAH!...oh well...other than that I haven't really done anything special so I'll let you guys know whats going on as soon as something goes on :P

CSI Horse Show

YAY!!! We had another horse show this weekend! It was a 2 day, 3 English show that was at the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls. It was SO much fun! Even though we had to haul 4 of our jumpers up there we still had a blast and a fairly relaxed time. I went up early with our coaches Rebecca and Colette (she's new and it was her first day of work hahaha) and two other girls. It was a rather boring trip up because they didn't play any music. But we talked alot about horses (duh) and books and movies. But the second I decided to put in my ipod and try to nap Rebecca starts talking about what we need to do when we get there and then we got lost hahaha! Sigh, Rebecca has been there countless times and still needs help :p

Anyway, we get to the arena where we're having the show and we start to warm up the horses we brought (Josh, slow stupid arab. Charlie, pissy pony I rode in the first show...yes...he jumps and looks awesome doing it! Cecil, plain old boy who is really trickey and Gulliver, our champ!) and start to school them over the jumps so they don't freak out during the actual show. That takes about an hour and a half. Then we go to the place where we are keeping out horses and get them settled in for the night with food bedding and water. Cee is totally freaked out and is neighing the whole time, as we leave, and when we came back in the morning...I don't think he likes stalls. Lol But after we get them settled we go check into the hotel, order pizza, watch animal planets animal attacks show lol then we fall asleep.

Ok, so getting up at 7:15 then 5:40 for two days then 7:15 again can really mess up your sleep and make you really tired lol but ya we had to get up and be out the door at 6:15 so we could go get our horses and take them to the arena and warmed up for the show, so we do that. SLEEPY PUPPY! But me and the two other girls didn't really have to do anything the rest of the show because of it thought, MWA HAHAHA! Not that the others really had to do much but hold horses and occasionally move jumps. Ya...I felt weird not helping though...so I ended up working anyway :P

Once the show started things calmed down alot more, the jumping was way fun to watch because...well...we actually could lol Our horses and riders were both fantastic! The first show went really well and I we were the High Point team for that show! Its really cool and we're one of the top in our zone because of it! OH! haha that particular show I got the cutest little pony that everyone from CSI and USU were raving about because she used to be one of our ponies and she is just a DOLL!!! I did fairly well on her but didn't place.

The second show was really good too! We ended up getting High Point rider because Jenna Delong (the girl I get rides with) trained with the judge MWA HAHAHA!!! Yay for favoritism :P But Jenna did awesome anyway and I think she deserved 2 first places anyway hahaha And I drew the SAME PONY!!! Lol in a class of 13 people I somehow managed to get the SAME PONY! She was so perfect and I could hardly have asked for a better ride...because...I GOT SECOND PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TOTALLY AWESOME HUH?! Lolol ya I'm so happy and the ribbon even matches my room :P I'm so happy and now I'm even on my way to classing up haha even though I need like...16 more points. You get 7 points for first, 5 for second then the degress from there by ones. So I now have 5 points! Anyway, that night we went to an over rated and over priced Italian restaurant but its ok cuz it was fun to spend time with the team :) After that we went back to our hotel and just kinda settled in for the night and I got to sleep probably about every other half hour because of my CURSED ALLERGIES! I ended up sleeping with my face over the side of the cot and over the trash can so I could just let my nose drip into the trash can...ugh...

The next day went way quick. We got our horses there, warmed up, coaches meeting, show started, drawing horses I...GOT THE SAME BLASTED PONY!!!!!!!! Hahaha I found it hilarious! I had an awesome ride but didn't place which even confounded my coaches...grrrrrrrrr. Once all our riders had shown, we got our horses packed up and ready to go. Waited to find out who was high point team and rider then we left. However, even though Twin Falls is only about 2 hours away from Logan...we didn't get home till 4 hours later...Dan got us lost. BUT thanks to that we didn't have to do feedings Sunday night. ^_^

Ya, but you guys haven't missed much since my last blog so I won't go much on that other than I'm still kinda looking to find my happy niche of friends but its ok, it'll come ^_^ So signing off for now, I love and miss you all and I'll write soon!

Show Time Pictures

Hey everyone! My Daddy took some pictures and sent them to me from the show :) I might be able to get a movie on here from Tony. Its kinda boring but you at least get to see me in action ^_^ Hahaha

The First Show

SO! My first show was this last Saturday! It was so much fun, at least what I was there for. This is the first time ever our english riding team has ever taken first because we've never had a full team before this year. We also tied for high point rider. KatieAnn drew a crap horse for the tie breaker so we kinda got screwed over, that and she was up against an open rider and she's just a novice to intermediate.

Anyway hahaha I think I did pretty good for my first time ever showing. Mom, Dad, and Tony all say I did really well, but I'm not sure because my horse, Charlie (the overcompensating pissy little pony) doesn't like to slow down once he gets going. Lol oh well ^-^ I didn't place but no big deal. Lol I'm getting better even from then thought! In my riding class we learned how to take up proper leads for cantering so I should do better next time :)

On a sadder note...Laine left for the MTC today. And not to say that him going on a mission is a bad thing!!! I'm just going to miss him so much! But hopefully these next two years will fly by like the last few haha He's going to Carlsbad, California. So now I have yet another excuse to go to Cali for Spring Break MWA HAHAHAHA! Laine is going to be an amazing missionary though. If I were a non-member, from his testimony alone I would know that this is the true church just from the conviction in his voice. His farewell talk made me cry his spirit was that strong. But anyway, I'll miss him but I'm so proud of him!!! ^-^

I'll write soon. Please leave comments lol its fun to hear what you guys have to say :)

Rodeo Babay!

YAY! I got invited to the college rodeo today by Dan, the captain of the english riding team! Hahaha it was so much fun and was way entertaining! The show itself was kinda mediocre but we had fun picking apart all the faults and just having an all around good time talking about all the horse stuff we know about. :)

After we left the rodeo we had a pretty entertaining time talking about french actually and he tried to walk me to my door but we got severely distracted by the piano in the lobby of my building. Turns out he isn't too bad at the whole, making music thing hahaha! We talked about that for a good amount of time then he finally managed to walk me all the way to my door and we got distracted yet again! This time by my telescope :P I think I may have finally found someone who will ACTUALLY help me learn how to use it to its full potential!!! Hahaha

Anyway, I just thought you guys might like a little update. Um, I've got my show tomorrow and am heading down to SLC for Laine's farewell so I'll let you all know how the show goes asap ^_^

LOVES AND MISSES!

NERVOUS!!! But not...?

I'm kinda nervous...our first riding show is tomorrow and I'm still just learing how to canter! (Cantering is the 3 beat pace that most people mistake for a gallop) Anyway! I don't know what horse I'm riding. I don't even know where the place we're showing is. I kinda know whats going on from a technical, set up point of view but thats about it.

BUT! Alongside the nervous feelings are feelings of TOTAL EXCITEMENT!!! It feels like its pulsing through me. Ready for me to take on anythign and totally master it (like a horse)! Lol, so I hope I do well and earn some points. I really want to place so I can work my way up a class, even thought that won't happen this year unless I take first every time! Hahaha

So, the captain of the english riding team, Dan, asked me to go to the rodeo with him tonight. I don't know if it was him actually asking me out on a date or just inviting me to go, but EITHER WAY! Hahaha I just think it's funny to say I got asked to the rodeo by the captian of the team :P

Well, that's all for now so, I'll let you all know how the show goes tomorrow. WISH ME LUCK! ^-^ I love you all!

Wow...I'M SO SORRY!

AH! Ok, so ya, I'm really really really bad at this whole, journal...blog...trying to be consistant thing...I'M SORRY! Life up here has just been NUTS and I'm loving every minute of it! Hahaha :P So I last left you with the blood drive in August which was almost a month ago...wow...I'm horrible lol So that weekend I went home to Salt Lake for the weekend and more importantly, Daddy's birthday and my patriarchal blessing. And what a blessing it was. It has already helped me so much in my life and I want to be worthy to have the amazing blessings that it has promised me!

I spent alot of time that weekend with my friends (thank you Grace for inviting me to your cabin) and I miraculously made it to Dan Morey's mission farewell and have already recieved a letter from him in the MTC! Daddy's birthday was fun and I hope he had a good time. I even got to stay an extra day that weedend because of Labor Day! I spent alot of time with Laine too :) We went to Target for a few minutes then Barnes and Noble and talked for a long time. It was awesome!

EEP! I also tried out for the equestrian team on the 2nd of September and guess what...I MADE IT!!!!!!!!!! I'm on the english riding team and our first show is this weekend! Its so much fun and I've made some friends from that and my riding and stable management classes. Jenna DeLong is the main one and she's so much fun! She gives me rides to class and practice and we listen to music and talk the whole time. We have a lot of the same taste in most things. I also go with her to take care of her horse, Pancho, down at the Logan Fairgrounds. She even let me practice cantering on him! But ya!!! I'm so happy to be involved with horses on a consistent basis! OH! there's a colt at the stables that I want to buy when he's trained. His name is Artie and he's a total sweetheart and basically I think he'd be the perfect horse for me! ^_^

Anyway, the first weekend of September Tony, Spencer, Suzanne and her boyfriend Tom Lee came up and we went camping up Green Canyon! It was awesome!!! We camped 2 nights 3 days and had so much fun exploring and just hanging out. And no worries, Suzanne and I shared a tent and the boys were in another :P

I've also gotten into the USU sports teams beyond the equestrian team. Our hockey team kicks BUTT!!! The first game was against the U of U and we totally wasted! The downside to a rockin' hockey team is a HORRIBLE football team. We got slaughtered by the U and lost by 48 points...pathetic. Because of the atrocity of our football team, Laine and I (he was up here visiting Nick Tolstrup) left during the 3rd quarter and walked around campus and talked alot yet again :) Though I think we won our game against Idaho :p So I think thats about it for USU sports.

Classes, as I said before, are so much fun! I've already been through my horse classes so I'll go to the other ones. My creative arts class, taught by Michael Ballum, is very...enlightening? I have learnes so much about art and music from the old testament and Moses singing the bible leading to Catholicism being established and the gospel being sung to Michaelangelo and now somehow we're on Bach, Mozart, and Handel! It is so cool. I just love it! My into to Shakespeare class is fun too. We're now working on Twelfth Night but we just finished Much Ado About Nothing. I love learning about Shakespeare and the many many underlying meanings of almost everything that gets said! So in summary my classes are awesome!

Anyway! Thats basically whats been going on the last couple weeks. Again I'm sorry for being so slack about the blog. I'm really going to try to stay on top of it! I love everyone and will talk to you soon. :)

My Life Force is Temporarily Diminished

Hahaha! Ok so college life is going to be AWESOME!!!! My schedule is sweet! My dorm feels like home already (Of course mom helped alot with that what with her whole decorating sense and stuff like that) and I have plenty of friends and unlimited possible friends! Mondays and Wednesdays are my super horsey days because I have both my riding class and stable management hours those days. I have to get up at 7:30 for riding but its worth it. I come back from that at 10:30ish because I have to eat and calm down a bit before I go back to the barn for 5 of my 10 hours of stable management from 1 to 6! Nutso huh?!

Tuesdays and Thursdays arent to tense either. I have a 9:00 creative arts class that is SO MUCH FUN!!! The teacher is interesting and from what I gathered its a very interactive class that is going to teach me all the intruiging ins and outs of art and culture that has always been interesting to me! Oh, and the class has 625 people hahaha! I also have my Shakespeare class at 3:00 and thats going to be really fun too, except some of the people I think will get on my nerves :p

Alright, now to explain the title a little bit ^-^ I GAVE BLOOD! For the first time ever too! It hardly hurt and it was SO COOL to watch the blood fill the pouch. I found out you can make it fill faster if you pump your hand more that the 3-5 seconds they suggest. It was really cool! I think I'm going to donate blood more often. I'm excited to find out what blood type I am too, I've always wondered that...lolol I wasn't dizzy after either which I think was really convenient. OH! Hahaha Ausia didn't have as good of luck as I did however. Her flabotomist didn't get the vein right so her blood clotted to soon and then the nurse started to stab the needle further in and swizling it around and still didn't get anything so Ausia was in mucho pain and they didn't even get to use her blood because it didn't fill the bag and they didn't change veins soon enough :( sad face.

Well, thats all that's happened for today. I'm doing better than I usually do with stuff like this, but still if I fall behind LET ME KNOW!!! hahaha

First Day of Class!

BAH!!!! I told you people I'm bad at this game!!! Text or email me and remind me to do it ok?! Geepers! Hahaha, ok so another reason I haven't been writing is that I've been super busy but nothing in particular has been special enough to write about lol just hanging out with Marc (boy) and Ausia (girl) lol I've also met tons of random people here and there that are totally awesome ^-^

My schedule is pretty open but my classes are fun and I hope they challenge me while still having me enjoy them. I've got a riding fundamentals class that I went to for the first time this morning at 7:30...ugh...haha but no it wasn't too bad. There are a couple girls in my class that I have stuff in common with. One girl went to Olympus with me, we had a class with Chip together but I still don't know her too well. The other girl knows Tom Bakke who got me to Ching Farm and started me into kenpo. They know each other from Ching Farm as well. I think its going to be an awesome class ^-^ I've got another class at the equestrian center tonight that will be my stable management class! YAY! Haha I love horsies! :P

My other classes are creative arts and intro to Shakespeare but they haven't started yet. I've heard good things about the creative arts class though! And obviously I'm stoked for my Shakespeare class :D haha

Anyway, thats about all for now so I'll try to write soon! LOVES and MISSES

First Batch Pictures

Ok, so I'm going to do my usual splurge tonight but for now here are a few pictures!

This is my bed area with my puny dresser and closet. As you can see we have a microwave and mini fridge, SCORE! LOL And of course all of my hanging clothes are on the doorless side of my closet :P

This is my desk area where I spend most of my time when I'm in my room. I love my computer!!! Thank you Daddy ^-^

This is my room mate, Stephanie's half of the room. She still has some clothes she needs to hang up on the back of her chair but other than that she keeps things really nice. I'm glad to have her as my room mate.

My Personal Education Lottery

Ah! Ok, so the big news for today is that I got in to the two main classes I really wanted to take!!! This morning, inbetween eating, showering, and typing my essay due tomorrow, I decided to see if there were any openings for the Into to Shakespeare class. LOW AND BEHOLD!!! There is one opening and I snag it the second I see it! Then I went back to see if there were any more openings and as far as I could tell, I got the last slot in the class! JACKPOT!!! ^-^

Score number two is I got an email asking everyone in the Stable Management class to meet on Monday, August 25 to get schedules and feeding routines set. I r.s.v.p.'d but along with that I asked the teacher if there happened to be any openings in the Riding Fundamentals class (which is a pre-requisite for all of the other riding classes). She emails me back and says I'm welcome to join the class!!! HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY PUPPY!!!!

Other than those two major events today was pretty much me just trying to pull together the essay for my Connections class thats due tomorrow eh heh...:P Ok, so I'm still trying to break a few high school habits, but at least I got the essay done! Though at 4:30 I got a break when all of the FIG's went down to First Dam and we had dinner, canoing and beach volley ball. That was lots of fun. Marc and I kick butt at canoe tag :p Mwa hahaha

Ok, so I just realized that I haven't really explained the FIG's, Connections or who the people I'm hanging out with are. SO! The FIG's are the Freshman Interest Groups. I'm in Appreciating the Arts FIG, while there is a Outdoor Adventures, Science and Technology, and Education FIG's for other people. Its really fun and everyone in their respective FIG's are on the same floor in the boys and girls dorm. So, for example, all of the Arts FIG people are on the 4th floor. The boys are in Mountain View Tower and the girls are in Valley View Tower.

Connections is an extensive orientation class that goes on the rest of this week and the first three Tuesday nights of actuall school. We learn about the policies the school has, we explore campus and we get to know our peers so we aren't totally lost once school starts. Though I have to say I'm already pretty familiar with most of campus, but I'm sure there's plenty more to learn.

So, my roommate is Stephanie. She's really fun and is super involved with music. She has had marching band every day this week and had 9 classes, 8 of which have to do with music...SHE'S NUTS!!! Hahaha, of course it's not like I could room with someone who isn't a little bit off their rocker lol Marc is a really cool guy I met the very first day here. He's really nice and way fun to talk to and easy to be around. He's going to try out for the hockey team. It's kinda silly because his personality and face kinda fit the hockey player profile, but he has a lean, kind of slight build...it's interesting. He's from Vermont and pretty much only came to Utah for the skiing LOL We hang out alot and its really entertaining...he's one of the only people who heard my little slip up of me barking at a dog in a passing truck...it's bad.

ANYWAY!!! It's late, so I'm signing off and hopefully I'll have pictures for you guys soon of friends, room and all that good jazz ^-^ I love and miss you all!!!

Two Days At a Time

SO! Day two and three went by too fast hahaha! Due to that you get two days at once, MWA HAHAHA! OK! (Ah I'm hyper...) Yesterday I accidentally missed church because my alarm clock accidentaly got set to pm instead of am. I ended up meeting up with Marc, Krissy and Charles at lunch and we hung out most of the day and had lots of fun. I'm blanking on specifics right now so...sorry :p but last night at about 10 our RA and a few of the girls from our floor decided to go play uno outside and I learned a new version called "Cheat Uno". Its where you can hide your cards if you don't get caught doing so, but if you do you have to draw 5. It kinda sucks if you get caught but if your sneaky enough (tee hee hee) it can really help you out. Hahaha!

OH! My room mate also got in on Sunday! She's really nice and I think we'll get along. She brought the microwave and I've got the fridge! We have fun snackums and drinksors so we're set for the most part :p We've also got cereal and stuff for quick almost free! Hahaha

Today everyone in the FIG's and the other special groups went to a ropes course about 7 minutes from campus. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!!! I kicked BUTT at the island logs. They're 6 half logs suspended about 20 ft. in the air and you have to kind of swing from one to the other and I got across in like 30 seconds!!! Everyone was shocked and it was kind of awkward but...ya my ego balloon got a little inflated ^-^ We also did a couple other ground activities like this spiderweb thing. Everyone in the group has to go from one side of the bungee web to the other without touching the web or reusing any of the holes. I got put through one of the smallest holes in the dead center of the web and once I was through the boys who had my torso totally let go leaving this guy Kasey (sp?) with my legs and he started to trip over a rock but thanks to my amazing swing dancing skills I managed to keep my body pretty much flat hahaha! I got myself set straight and once we had gotten over the light-hearted accusations as to who let me drop he said nice abs! BUT!!! The girl who was stationed at that exercise miss heard him and thought he said "nice ass"! Everyone busted out laughing and were giving him a hard time :P it was really silly and out group was WICKED fun!!!

After we got back from the ropes course Marc and I wanted to go swimming way bad cuz its really hot up here. So we get all ready to go only to find out that the pool is closed. LAME!!! So we start to walk around, see the bus, and he says "HEY! Lets go to Walmart!!!" ...sure...lol so we hop on the bus and make our way out to Walmart where he buys a bunch of school supplies and drinks. But because we took the bus we had to go from Walmart to our dorms on the bus with 2 bags full of Powerade, 2 bags of binders and another bag full of other random room accessories! So of course the Powerade bags decide to rip and by the time we reach his dorm we're carrying a 12 pack of lemonade each, I've got the bag of supplies, he's got most of the Powerade's and I've got 3! LOL it was nuts and we looked like idiots walking across the field with all that stuff :P

Dinner was yummy! The Marketplace is finally open so we get super good food! I had a really yummy burrito and churro (which was stale...) but it was fun cuz I'm constantly meeting new people especially at meal times ^-^ HOORAY FOR FOODSORS! Once we were all done with food we meandered around till we found a group of people playing kick ball! The team we joined ended up kicking butt once we joined in, mwa hahaha! AND we got free popsicles out of the deal. Then we went walking to our dorms and we found a group of people on the lawn outside of them playing on the grass doing cartwheels, sommersaults and hand stands so we joined them and had fun till a group went to watch Phantom of the Opera in the Valley View Towers basement (VVT for short and my building). That got boring really quick cuz everyone was singing and not everyone was the best and I wanted to hear the good voices. So I left, called mom and dad, and am now writing this!

First Day...wow

Ok! So today was the first day of me being all alone away from home at Utah State...I"M SCARED!...kinda. I got moved in all fine with the help of mom and dad. After they left I went with some other people from my building to the football teams scrimmage. Wow...Aggie football team sucks! HAHAHA! We're like...last on the national standing and its quite entertaining. I got to know a few people during the first bit of the game and dinner. The school provided burgers and bratwursts which actually weren't too bad. Then on the walk back I got to free myself of some dorkiness while walking with a kinda weird kid named Shawn (I think). So then I came back to my room and hung my posters and start to put away my clothes when I hear laughing and talking in the common room. So I go to check it out and low and behold they're planning to go play night games with a bunch of other people. So what I think was all of my floor and I go over to the quad and we play missionary tag, capture the flag, and ultimate frisbee...needles to say I left during ultimate hahaha and now I'm here sitting at my computer talking to you all! ^-^

Um...ya...I'm really nervous now. There's no going back at this point yet I just feel like I'm on vacation. I miss people already like Mom, Dad, Z and S, Suzanne, Grace and Tony. Tony keeps in tought with texting but its still not the same as being able to talk to his face, or anyone else for that matter...but oh well. What can I do now right? I can't give up now and I'm sure everyone here is just as scared as I am. (Haha, Tony's brother actually said I'm better at hiding it that everyone else :P that made me feel good haha) All my stuff is moved in and once I get my web cam set up (which shouldn't take long) I'll have pictures of my room and probably my room mate and stuff like that! ^-^

Anyway, its late and I need to try to somehow fall asleep alone...I've never been good at that :P Curse you Mom and Dad for insisting that I always have my room right next to you!!! Now I can't sleep with even the feeling of being alone! VILE FIENDS!!! Hahaha anyway. Email me to remind me to keep this updated. Or better if you can text me :p bad I know but its more efficient to get me. So ya! I LOVE YOU!!!
