Rodeo Babay!

YAY! I got invited to the college rodeo today by Dan, the captain of the english riding team! Hahaha it was so much fun and was way entertaining! The show itself was kinda mediocre but we had fun picking apart all the faults and just having an all around good time talking about all the horse stuff we know about. :)

After we left the rodeo we had a pretty entertaining time talking about french actually and he tried to walk me to my door but we got severely distracted by the piano in the lobby of my building. Turns out he isn't too bad at the whole, making music thing hahaha! We talked about that for a good amount of time then he finally managed to walk me all the way to my door and we got distracted yet again! This time by my telescope :P I think I may have finally found someone who will ACTUALLY help me learn how to use it to its full potential!!! Hahaha

Anyway, I just thought you guys might like a little update. Um, I've got my show tomorrow and am heading down to SLC for Laine's farewell so I'll let you all know how the show goes asap ^_^

LOVES AND MISSES!

NERVOUS!!! But not...?

I'm kinda nervous...our first riding show is tomorrow and I'm still just learing how to canter! (Cantering is the 3 beat pace that most people mistake for a gallop) Anyway! I don't know what horse I'm riding. I don't even know where the place we're showing is. I kinda know whats going on from a technical, set up point of view but thats about it.

BUT! Alongside the nervous feelings are feelings of TOTAL EXCITEMENT!!! It feels like its pulsing through me. Ready for me to take on anythign and totally master it (like a horse)! Lol, so I hope I do well and earn some points. I really want to place so I can work my way up a class, even thought that won't happen this year unless I take first every time! Hahaha

So, the captain of the english riding team, Dan, asked me to go to the rodeo with him tonight. I don't know if it was him actually asking me out on a date or just inviting me to go, but EITHER WAY! Hahaha I just think it's funny to say I got asked to the rodeo by the captian of the team :P

Well, that's all for now so, I'll let you all know how the show goes tomorrow. WISH ME LUCK! ^-^ I love you all!

Wow...I'M SO SORRY!

AH! Ok, so ya, I'm really really really bad at this whole, journal...blog...trying to be consistant thing...I'M SORRY! Life up here has just been NUTS and I'm loving every minute of it! Hahaha :P So I last left you with the blood drive in August which was almost a month ago...wow...I'm horrible lol So that weekend I went home to Salt Lake for the weekend and more importantly, Daddy's birthday and my patriarchal blessing. And what a blessing it was. It has already helped me so much in my life and I want to be worthy to have the amazing blessings that it has promised me!

I spent alot of time that weekend with my friends (thank you Grace for inviting me to your cabin) and I miraculously made it to Dan Morey's mission farewell and have already recieved a letter from him in the MTC! Daddy's birthday was fun and I hope he had a good time. I even got to stay an extra day that weedend because of Labor Day! I spent alot of time with Laine too :) We went to Target for a few minutes then Barnes and Noble and talked for a long time. It was awesome!

EEP! I also tried out for the equestrian team on the 2nd of September and guess what...I MADE IT!!!!!!!!!! I'm on the english riding team and our first show is this weekend! Its so much fun and I've made some friends from that and my riding and stable management classes. Jenna DeLong is the main one and she's so much fun! She gives me rides to class and practice and we listen to music and talk the whole time. We have a lot of the same taste in most things. I also go with her to take care of her horse, Pancho, down at the Logan Fairgrounds. She even let me practice cantering on him! But ya!!! I'm so happy to be involved with horses on a consistent basis! OH! there's a colt at the stables that I want to buy when he's trained. His name is Artie and he's a total sweetheart and basically I think he'd be the perfect horse for me! ^_^

Anyway, the first weekend of September Tony, Spencer, Suzanne and her boyfriend Tom Lee came up and we went camping up Green Canyon! It was awesome!!! We camped 2 nights 3 days and had so much fun exploring and just hanging out. And no worries, Suzanne and I shared a tent and the boys were in another :P

I've also gotten into the USU sports teams beyond the equestrian team. Our hockey team kicks BUTT!!! The first game was against the U of U and we totally wasted! The downside to a rockin' hockey team is a HORRIBLE football team. We got slaughtered by the U and lost by 48 points...pathetic. Because of the atrocity of our football team, Laine and I (he was up here visiting Nick Tolstrup) left during the 3rd quarter and walked around campus and talked alot yet again :) Though I think we won our game against Idaho :p So I think thats about it for USU sports.

Classes, as I said before, are so much fun! I've already been through my horse classes so I'll go to the other ones. My creative arts class, taught by Michael Ballum, is very...enlightening? I have learnes so much about art and music from the old testament and Moses singing the bible leading to Catholicism being established and the gospel being sung to Michaelangelo and now somehow we're on Bach, Mozart, and Handel! It is so cool. I just love it! My into to Shakespeare class is fun too. We're now working on Twelfth Night but we just finished Much Ado About Nothing. I love learning about Shakespeare and the many many underlying meanings of almost everything that gets said! So in summary my classes are awesome!

Anyway! Thats basically whats been going on the last couple weeks. Again I'm sorry for being so slack about the blog. I'm really going to try to stay on top of it! I love everyone and will talk to you soon. :)
