Almost Epic Fail

Ok so I went home this Monday to see a Marc Broussard concert at The Depot. However, it failed to mention anywhere on the website that there would be an age limit!!! I buy Tony's and my tickets, we walk in the doors, see a guy checking for id's, look down at my ticket, see 21+, turn around and walk back out the door and get my ticket refunded.

At this point, I'm almost ready to cry, but don't want to seem lame. Then I get a brilliant idea while going past Marc's tour bus (which was not an out of the way creepy thing to do by the way)! What if I bought his new album and asked him to sign it for me?! So I bounce my idea by Tony, wh
o approves and we run over to the Barnes and Noble. After anxiously opening my cd, borrowing a sharpie from B&N and figuring out the best place to ask him to sign, I get nervous...I'm about to stalk my favorite music artist to have him sign a cd that I just bought because I'm not old enough to get into his concert...ya. Can you blame me?!

Anyway! We waited out side by his bus for about 15-20 minutes before I see him emerge from the back stage door. He comes up the side of the bus and just before he enters (I hesitated to make sure it was him), I ask "Marc Broussard?" He stops. Looks in my direction...and smiles! I explain
to him my situation and politely ask him if he would be so kind as to sign my cd. He does so and in a very attractive, kind of gravely voice he says "Here you go love, sorry you couldn't see the show. Have a nice night." ...^_^ HE CALLED ME LOVE!!!!!!! I restrained myself from jumping him with a huge hug, waited for him to go into his bus and then proceded to skip away with a smile that did not leave my face for the rest of the night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hahaha, so ya that was my extatifying experience with a celebrity musician (at least he is in my eyes) :P On another note! We had a fun "family" dinner on sunday with some of the girls on my floor and my new friend Amanda (who was Savanna's friend and she introduced us at a hockey game). Savanna and Amanda treated us to chicken alfredo, homemade cinnamon rolls, Krissy and her visiting mom provided a yummy salad, and other fun random treats. It was delicious and I at least had a really fun time! I'm so happy that I've made such amazing friends with the girls on my floor and sequentially, their friends! It makes life a lot easier. So I leave you guys with happy tidings and I'll write soon!
